Brass readily accepts excellent, smooth surface finishes directly from the machining process due to its machinability. It can also be easily polished to a high, bright luster. Various plating options (like nickel, chrome, or tin) are also commonly applied to brass parts for enhanced durability, corrosion resistance, or specific aesthetic requirements.
